I thought I would diverge from the usual guitar related posts and share a trip with you that I took without my guitar. While in Argentina, I took advantage of the proximity and took a trip to Iguazú Waterfalls or as they call them in Spanish, Cataratas del Iguazú.  A 24-hour bus ride to the north of the country was well worth the views of the waterfalls. No picture can truly describe the feeling that ones gets standing over the waterfalls and the incredible energy that is emitted from all that water gushing down the fall.  In Guarani, the language of a Native American tribe spoken in Paraguay, parts of Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia…,  ”Iguazu” means Big Water, “y” meaning water and “uasu” meaning big.  It’s the most appropriate name for the falls, “big” probably being a bit of an understatement.

Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat)

There are a number of trails for visitors to take. The first one we took lead to the U-shaped waterfall named “Devil’s Throat.” This one is probably the most impressive in terms of energy and water quantity.

The other trails lead to the rest of the waterfalls that were just absolutely beautiful.

The photos say more than I can put into words. So I’ll just attach a few more and call it a day…

And last one…

Dos Hermanas (Two Sisters)

No guitar in this one, but I hope it was worthwhile regardless… If you’re ever in this part of the world, I highly recommend a trip to Iguazu!
